Glossy Ibis (Plegadis falcinellus)
Length: about 19".
Photographed on May 23, 2005, along the refuge's Wildlife Loop (map) at the Snow Goose Pool. The glossy ibis is common in spring and fall and abundant in winter.

This ibis feasts mainly on aquatic invertebrates.
